Mother I Feast
Mother I feast on you
Savouring the last shreds of flesh
On bones that have completed their journey
Brought you to the end of life itself
Intact for all to see
But my shadow
Hiding by your immortal soul
Whispers
All the things you’ve done to me
Into the cosmos
Scattering any illusion
Of a completed destiny
So back you go
In reverse evolution
A spider an ant a bee
Now just a gnat
I can hardly eat you at all
